After a busy two days in the PWHL this weekend's stakes are higher than ever with the Toronto Sceptres and Ottawa Charge fighting for the fourth and final playoff spot against each other; the Boston Fleet and Montreal Victoire fighting for the number one seed; and the Seattle Torrent and Vancouver Goldeneyes battling for the number one draft pick. But before we dive into what’s coming up here’s a recap of how we got here:

Tuesday Night

Toronto Sceptres vs New York Sirens

Heading into the game the New York Sirens needed a regulation win to keep their playoff hopes alive, however after a regulation shutout, saw another exit. Though the Sirens were able to rally in overtime as Allyson Simpson found the game winner, making the path for the Sceptres a little more difficult.

Vancouver Goldeneyes vs Montreal Victoire

Heading into the game the Montreal Victoire were looking to add to their lead for the number one seed, while the Goldeneyes looked to add points to the Gold Plan as they hunt for the number one draft pick. It looked like the Goldeneyes had run away with the win after going up 4-0, but a natural hattrick from Hayley Scamurra brought the game back within reach for the Victoire, however the late push wouldn’t be enough as the Goldeneyes added three-points to the Gold Plan.

Wednesday Night

Boston Fleet vs Ottawa Charge

Heading into the game the Ottawa Charge were looking to lock up the fourth and final playoff spot with a regulation win, while the Fleet looked to take over the number one seed. It was a battle of the USA goalies with Aerin Frankel and Gwyneth Philips in net. Kicking it off was Fleet rookie Abby Newhook with her 7th goal of the season, before hometown hero Rebecca Leslie found the equalizer in the third. In overtime it was Charge Captain Brianne Jenner, securing the two point-victory pushing Toronto’s hand in their upcoming matchup.

Seattle Torrent vs Minnesota Frost

Heading into the game the Seattle Torrent were looking to add points to the Gold Plan while the Frost were looking to come back from back-to-back losses as they gear up for another deep playoff run. In the game Kelly Pannek and Taylor Heise became the first players to record 30 points in a single season. But it was Seattle that walked away with the three-point win, moving to 4 points in the Gold Plan, currently holding the number one draft pick.
