New York Sirens at Minnesota Frost
The weekend kicks off in Minnesota as the Frost take on the New York Sirens for the last time this season. In their last match the Frost took the lead but a natural hat trick from Sarah Filler secured the win for New York in overtime.
This season the Frost are 3-0-1-0 against the Sirens, but with Minnesota already locked in and New York on the doorstep it could go either way. But for the Frost there’s been no need to panic cause they have Kelly Pannek who is currently leading the league in points (28) and goals (14). While on the other side it’s been Sarah Fillier leading the way down the stretch with 8 goals since the Olympic break.
Ottawa Charge at Toronto Sceptres
The action then continues in Toronto as the Sceptres take on the Ottawa Charge. Both teams are currently battling for the final playoff spot with one point between them.
This season the Sceptres are 2-0-1-0 against the Charge with Toronto finding the win in their last matchup at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary. The night wraps up in Boston as the Fleet take on the Montreal Victoire. Both teams have already solidified their spot in the playoffs, but are battling for the number one spot with just one point between them. The team that finishes first overall at the end of the regular season gets to choose between the third or fourth seed for their first round match.
This season the Fleet are 2-0 against the Victoire with Boston finding a massive comeback in Montreal, overcoming a 3-0 deficit in overtime.
