The Boston Fleet have shipped off to Toronto to take on the Sceptres for the fourth and final time this season. So far the Fleet are 2-1 in their matchups with the Sceptres win coming in their last game 10 days ago where they found a 2-0 shutout in Boston, to move into a playoff position.
Since that loss the Fleet are on a two-game shutout streak, moving back to the top of the standings. While the Sceptres are still holding onto their spot just one point above the Charge, the Sceptres look to widen that gap heading into a busy weekend.
Megan Keller has continued to grow her two way game becoming a threat in the offensive zone, leading the Fleet this season with 17 points. Keller was the overtime hero in the gold medal game at the Olympics.
While on the other side Daryl Watts continues to lead the Sceptres offence. Since the Olympic break Watts has recorded at least a point in every game. Earlier this season Watts became the second player to reach 50 career points. Watts will look to continue this momentum as Toronto heads into a two-game homestead this weekend.
With Raygan Kirk out for the weekend Toronto will need to rally together on both ends of the ice if they want to keep their momentum rolling as the countdown to playoffs continues.
With the season continuing to wind down every point matters and everyone is on the hunt. Stay tuned for more about how the rest of the season shakes up.
