The Montreal Victoire Complete Season Sweep Against the Minnesota Frost

The Montreal Victoire completed the first season sweep against the league's top offence in the Minnesota Frost with a 3-0 shutout in the State of Hockey.

Well the Victoire may be battling through injuries to big stars like Marie-Philip Poulin and Erin Ambrose, nothing seems to be slowing them down with only one loss since the Olympic break, coming in Winnipeg on the Takeover Tour. The biggest strength for the Victoire has been the depth they’ve found with contributions coming from every line. 

Abby Roque continues to show she’s found her fit in Montreal leading the team with 18 points this season. Roque was acquired in a trade at the 2025 Draft that saw Kristen O’Neill and the Victoire’s fourth round draft pick head to New York. 

Well on the backend Maggie Flaherty continues to be a two-way threat, standing tall in front of the net, and firing from the blue line. Flaherty now has 3 goals and 4 assists this season and isn’t showing any sign of stopping. 

In net Ann-Renée Desbiens continues to be a star for the Victoire, now tied with Aerin Frankel with a 0.952 save percentage, well leading goaltenders with a 1.21 goals against average. 

The Victoire continue to push for their straight play-off berth, and after falling in the first round of playoffs the last two seasons, the Victoire are hungrier than ever on their hunt for the Walter Cup.
