After an incredible draft the Seattle Torrent are continuing to build out their roster with several re-signings and free-agent pickups. Here’s a look at their most recent signings:
The signings began with fan favorite backup goalie CJ Jackson, they started their PWHL career with the Torrent Sceptres before joining Seattle for their inaugural season. They have started in 4 games, finding a win with Toronto on pride night in 2025 against the New York Sirens. Last season the net-minder started in one game, and split another, both against the Vancouver Goldeneyes in the last stretch of the season as the league's newest teams battled it out to win the Gold Plan.
While on offense was the resigning of Gabrielle David, who began her career with the Montreal Victoire in the inaugural PWHL season before heading to the SDHL. As the Euro season came to a close the Torrent saw an opportunity to bring a spark up front, through their offensive struggles with David leading SDE Hockey in scoring. This season playing with the Torrent from the jump and being familiar with the team is likely to spark that offensive power David became known for in the SDHL.
Joining her up front is Emma Nuutinen, who is a three-time Olympian for the Finland National Team. She was a part of the 2018 bronze medal run, beyond that she has also medaled in the IIHF Women’s World Championships winning two bronze and one silver. Nuutinen is coming off back-to-back championships with Finland’s Kiekko-Espoo. She formerly played with Mikayla Grant-Mentis with the PHF’s Buffalo Beauts, with this connection already made, the pair are likely to end up on a line together as the Torrent look to hit the ground running this season.
Announced today was the re-signing of forward Lily Delianedis and defender Lyndie Lobell. Both players added a reliable presence to the Torrent lineup, creating much needed depth through their lineup. Also announced today was the signing of Noemi Neubauerová from the Boston Fleet. The forward spent the past season with the Fleet on the reserve stepping into the lineup while Boston managed a slew of injuries.
The Torrent now have 16 players under contract for the 2026-27 season, with the league capping roster signings to 19 players ahead of training camp the Torrent are likely to use their final spots to lock up the young talent they drafted last week, including second overall pick Abbey Murphy.
