Meet the Prospects: Katherine Heard

After an exciting OUA career Gryphons Captain Katherine Heard has declared for the 2026 PWHL Entry Draft.

Throughout her time with the Gryphons, Heard played 119 games, including three U Sports Championship Tournament appearances.

This season the Gryphons found their 8th McCaw Cup in program history.

Heard finished the season with a career best 32 points, including 8 in the playoffs. The Arva, Ontario native finishes her university career with 29 goals and 41 assists, including 10 game-winners.

Wrapping up an incredible career with the Gryphons, Heard was honored with the W.F. Mitchell Sportswomen of the Year award for her leadership along with Women's Hockey M.V.P.
