Canadian snowboarder Kaylie Buck has won her first-ever World Cup medal in the women’s parallel giant slalom, finishing second overall with a time of 1:17.35, in just her 3rd season competing outside of the Junior Championships.
The Oakville native was the first Canadian woman to ever win a World Junior medal in an alpine snowboarding event in 2020, when she brought home bronze in the parallel slalom. The 25-year-old made her Olympic debut in 2022, finishing 21st overall in the parallel giant. She is targeting another Olympic run, with her eyes set on the podium.
