Summer hockey is officially here as Da Beauty League drops the puck tonight for their Final Summer.

The off-season league was founded by John Scott in 2015, with the women’s division being introduced in 2024. John Scott was sprung into the spotlight in 2016 when fans voted to make him the Captain of the Pacific Division at the All-Star competition. Known for his physical style of play on the ice, racking up 544 penalty minutes in 286 games, fans voted him in as what was seen as a “joke,” with only 5 goals and 6 assists through his NHL career, but Scott took the opportunity as the league tried to push him out scoring two goals and winning the 2016 All-Star MVP Award.
Da Beauty League brings together talent from the NHL, NCAA, PWHL, and other pro leagues, every Wednesday throughout the summer, with rotating rosters as they try to win the John Scott Cup and Tradition Cup. And if you were wondering, yes the trophies are beer kegs.
